Greetings  and Welcome to the official website of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union 37.  This site was constructed so that you have an opportunity to learn more about us.

Local 37's geographical jurisdiction encompasses the entire state of Maryland with the exception of Charles, Montgomery, Prince George's and St. Mary's counties.  Our trade jurisdiction encompasses heavy equipment operators, mechanics, and welders in the construction industry as well as stationary engineers who maintain and service boilers, heating, and air conditioning units, as well as water filtration plants for commercial and residential buildings through out the metropolitan area.

Through collective bargaining and the strength of our membership, we have negotiated contracts in the construction and crane rental industries that provide members with better wages, pension benefits and health care coverage.  We also provide the best training available for your career advancement.
